The algorithms presently used for the tomographic reconstruction based on particle scattering, assume likelihood functions with Gaussian behavior, although this is not a good approximation of the experimental distributions. Object of the research will be the study of new minimization algorithms able to handle, with reasonable computing time, non Gaussian likelihood functions
Please note that the full description may be available in the national language since some job boards have their own publication policy. Thank you for your understanding!
The selection takes place through the evaluation of the titles, scientific and professional CV, academic/scientific publications and an interview
The applications will be valued by a referee committee, designed by the Director of the structure and composed by three members belonging to the scientific area of the research project, one of them is the scientific responsibile of the scientific project.
To better plan and organise their stay in a foreign European country, researchers and their families can also benefit of the free and personalised assistance offered by the EURAXESS Services Centres, a network of more than 200 centres located in 40 different European countries.
