Fellowship & Grant details

Fellowship posted by Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research (22/11/2012 02.54)

Study of minimization algorithms for functions with a very large number of variables (~10^6)

Please note that the job is no longer active!

The algorithms presently used for the tomographic reconstruction based on particle scattering, assume likelihood functions with Gaussian behavior, although this is not a good approximation of the experimental distributions. Object of the research will be the study of new minimization algorithms able to handle, with reasonable computing time, non Gaussian likelihood functions

Please note that the full description may be available in the national language since some job boards have their own publication policy. Thank you for your understanding!
