Design and Implementation of a passive measurement system for internet. - Ref. 355/2012

Please note that the job is no longer active!

The program of research proposes the definition of a measurement system for the 'identification of key performance indicators that are monitored, the techniques that can be used to perform the measurements, the hardware and software of the equipment responsible for the measures. After the identification of the performance indices, it is expected to define what methods are available to carry out a measure and / or estimate.

Subsequently, the program proposes to use passive probes based on TSTAT, software developed by DET that allows you to accurately measure the type of traffic that the network carries. TSTAT is suppose to observe packet headers transiting on a bi-directional channel in a totally passive way. The probes are installed at measuring points chosen in order to monitor the traffic from users connected to the network with ADSL or FTTH.

Please note that the full description may be available in the national language since some job boards have their own publication policy. Thank you for your understanding!
