Please note that the job is no longer active!

The aim of the research is the development of innovative biotransformation processes for production and modification of steroids, using wild type and recombinant strains, in order to obtain novel molecules for pharmaceutical applications. The research is based on the development of culture media suitable for the growth of catalytic active bacterial strains and on the investigation of optimization of bioconversion process parameters. Furthermore, the research would focus on analytical and structural characterization of products coming from the biotransformation
