Remote absolute frequency measurements of accurate optical clocks through optical fiber link“Ref. 342/2012”

Please note that the job is no longer active!

The objective of the research program is the study of new frequency standards in the optical domain and the study of new methods for the remote comparison of accurate atomic frequency standards through optical fiber links over long distances (>400 km). Recently, thanks to the advances in the field of quantum optics, the research in the time and frequency metrology has done a dramatic step forward. The interest for research in this field is related to the tremendous resolution (at this moment 10-17) offered by these systems in measurements of optical frequency ratios of atomic transitions compared to the Cs frequency standard. The development of new technologies for direct remote comparisons of optical clocks by means of optical fibers with phase noise compensation is the purpose of this research program.

Please note that the full description may be available in the national language since some job boards have their own publication policy. Thank you for your understanding!
