Morphology and polymorphism of active ingredients in solid pharmaceuticals: a comparison among selected brand and generic pharmaformulations

Please note that the job is no longer active!

Different pharmacological formulations of the same active principle will be compared with respect to morphological and physico-chemical properties. Active principles to be examined could be for example acetoaminophen or nimesulide, but the final choices will be made after consultation with clinical partners. The goal is to evaluate if reasonable scientific justification may exist of frequently eported subjective perception by patients of different effectiveness between some brand and some generic pharmacological formulations. The study will involve standard X-ray diffraction, thermal analysis, spectroscopical and microscopy techniques, supported where sensible by modelling approaches to explore issues which are likely to become increasingly significant in the near future.

Please note that the full description may be available in the national language since some job boards have their own publication policy. Thank you for your understanding!
