In this research project, Cu/CeO2-based catalysts wiil be prepared in both powder and structured forms. Moreover, these materials will be tested as catalysts in the carbon monoxide preferential oxidation in hydrogen rich streams; this reaction is of interest for application requiring hydrogen with ultra-low carbon monoxide content, as PEM fuel cells for example. The experimental reaction conditions will be selected in order to simulate applicative conditions as regards operating pressure, reaction temperature and feed composition.
