Design and implementation of a traffic prediction system

The project consists of 3 main phases. The first one is the definition of the requirements and specifications of the system, both from the technical point of view and that of the final user and stakeholders. The second one is the design and implementation of a prediction module of the state of the traffic in various nodes of a target road network (urban and/or motorway). The module relies on machine learning prediction algorithms and/or (with sensor fusion) signal processing (Kalman filtering) dynamic, and integrates information about external events, like the port acitivity and meteo conditions. Events will be defined semantically and formally modeled to be recognized and considered for the prediction. The last phase consists in the validation and testing
