The main objective of this research project will evaluate the role that the path of the signaling receptor for epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) plays in facilitating adaptation to hypoxic conditions and as gefitinib, a specific inhibitor of EGFR, may influence the adaptation. It will also optimizes the use of nano systems with the aim to combine them with molecules (eg monoclonal antibodies) capable of recognizing molecular targets specifically expressed on tumor cells.
