In Denmark a new ‘Growth House’ is opening its doors to students ideas
VIA University College in the city of Aarhus is opening another of Denmark’s successful ‘Growth Houses’ to help students with innovative and entrepreneurial ideas to take them forward. Brigitte Woge Nielsen – ambassador for the ‘Videa Aarhus’ project explains that the growth house environment gives students the chance to test their ideas in real life with the help of 13 expert ‘ambassadors’ – for example an idea to publish a book, or start a new business. There is a need to train students to become entrepreneurs who master creative thinking and know how to spot new opportunities she says. The project is a joint initiative between the ESF VIA University College and six municipalities in the Midtjylland region.
