Online voting for the VET Excellence Awards 2018 is open now. The awards showcases the best practices in vocational education and training across Europe and this year the awards ceremony will take place at the closing ceremony on 9 November.
The award for European Funding for Excellence highlights the excellent initiatives and practices co-funded by the European Social Fund in the area of VET. This year, two European Social Fund projects selected for the accolade at the VET Excellence Awards are:
“Closer to the Labour Market 2” project in Poland commenced in 2015 helping students develop their vocational skills and helping teachers to prepare them for the labour market. The project has helped thousands of students benefit from vocational education and has built strong relationships between schools and employers.
AAVA – A Clear Route to a Profession was a project running from 2015-2018 in Finland offering access to vocational training services in one online service. Developed in partnership and support of educational institutions and experts in guidance services, the electronic platform www.avoimetammatillisetopinnot.fi has helped both young people and adults to acquire new vocational skills and training to progress in their career.
