Encouraging community involvement in local strategy-making in Romania
The Centre for Public Policies in the city of Cluj-Napoca is launching an ESF project to promote dialogue and co-operation between non-profit organisations and the local public administration. The aim is to broaden participation of local communities in the creation of public policies. Participants will take part in training programmes covering topics such as strategic planning, project management and public procurement. Local public consultations and a public-policy incubator are also being funded. The project will help partners to identify the needs of the communities they operate in, as well as to plan and implement sustainable policy initiatives. The objective is to give a strong boost to local strategy development for the period 2014-2020.
