The European Community of Practice on Gender Mainstreaming (GenderCoP) is organising a conference that will show how to meet the obligations regarding gender equality in the new ESF regulations as well as the objectives of the EU2020 strategy
ESF is currently, and will increasingly become, one of the most important instruments to implement gender equality objectives both on the national and the European level. Gender is the key to achieving a sustainable, smart and inclusive society and an important aspect of all strategies designed to meet the current social and economic crisis in Europe.
This conference aims to show how to improve ESF through a systematic quality work integrating gender into daily operations. A new web tool, The European STANDARD on Gender Mainstreaming in the ESF, will be presented as a way to support the work with gender mainstreaming throughout the ESF cycles, from planning, implementation and monitoring to evaluation.
In the conference, new research papers will be presented, describing gender issues in relation to ESF themes such as social innovation, poverty, youth as well as new skills and jobs.
