Over 800 young Romanians have received professional support and training thanks to an ESF co-funded project
A two-year project focusing on youth employment, carried out by an NGO in co-operation with a private company and ESF support, has come to an end in Romania. The project, called ‘Active: Integrated services for youth insertion on the labour market in the North-West Region’, provided professional guidance to more than 480 young people.
Some 360 participants (including 200 in long-term unemployment) also acquired social, entrepreneurial, and computer-based training. In addition, 51 people received qualifications towards being waiters, cooks, hairstylists, and make-up artists.
As a result of the project, 80 participants in Cluj County have already managed to find jobs.
