More than 30 000 sign up for new skills training in the Czech Republic
An ESF co-funded training project in the Czech Republic is targeting a wide variety of workers and jobseekers, such as young, would-be entrepreneurs, older people and those with handicaps or who are returning to work after illness. Run by the public employment office, the initiative offers requalification courses which are proving increasingly popular.
Welding, social work, accountancy and beautician services are among the skill-sets on offer, both to jobseekers and employees who need to update their qualifications. Participants get the training paid for, as well as travel expenses. The initiative is definitely on a roll as, in 2013 alone, more than 30 000 people have signed up so far.
