The Spanish communications campaign for disabled people 'Never Give Up’ earns a Bronze Echo Award in Chicago
The ESF co-funded campaign 'Never give up', run by the ONCE Foundation and FSC Inserta in Spain, has been awarded a Bronze Echo Award by the Direct Marketing Association (DMA) in a ceremony in Chicago, USA. The Echo Awards represent the highest international recognition for excellence in direct and interactive marketing. Campaigns are assessed according to their results, marketing strategies and creativity and are chosen from more than 50 countries worldwide. Some 10 000 professionals attended the DMA’s annual conference this year.
Accepting the award, the Director of Communication and New Technologies for FSC Inserta, Monserrat Balas, said he was "proud" to be in Chicago on behalf of the campaign team to accept this award which recognises 'Never give up' as one of the three best integrated marketing campaigns around the world in the not-for-profit field.
The campaign 'Never give up' contains the testimony of 12 young people with disabilities who communicate the spirit of fighting to realise your dreams. Since its launch, the campaign has seen 686 000 downloads on YouTube and was a finalist in the Digital Communication Awards 2013 in Berlin last month.
