Italy and Romania exchange know-how on encouraging entrepreneurship among jobseekers
In the face of high unemployment levels and the difficulty of finding a job, an ESF project in Romania is setting out to learn how to help jobseekers to start their own businesses in Romania. The public employment agency in Alba County is partnering with five other public and private organisations, including three from Italy.
As part of this transnational project, ten employees of the public employment agency held internships in the Emilia-Romagna region in Italy where they visited a business incubator and exchanged good practices in entrepreneurship and job counselling services with their hosts. The lessons learned are being disseminated within the employment agency back in Romania, where new approaches are underway to boost employment and self-employment among jobseekers.
