With ESF support, busy working mothers in Italy can get help with day-care costs for their young children
The Province of Siena in Italy is strengthening its commitment to supporting the reconciliation of work and home by extending a successful voucher programme. The vouchers are used to contribute to the cost for young children to attend nursery schools and day-care centres – both public and private.
The aim is to help mothers to stay in work and continue to develop professionally during their child’s early years. Available for children up to three years old, the ESF co-funded vouchers have proved popular among working mothers in the region.
