In Italy, the ESF is supporting a course to manage generational change in small businesses
With a new project under the name ‘Generational change and new business strategies’, the Province of Reggio Emilia is offering family-based enterprises the chance to acquire know-how on ways to ensure the smooth handover of business management to younger family members and managers. Through 60 hours of instruction and project work, the organisers aim to ease the transition while encouraging new business strategies led by entrepreneurial young managers. The project is managed by CNA Giovani Imprenditori, an SME support and training organisation. Its President Cristina Boniburini emphasised the benefits of the training opportunities in the world of youth entrepreneurship, explaining that: “Generational change is a hot topic with a variety of issues that must be addressed in multiple ways”.
