A new project is creating opportunities for employers and the workforce in Bulgaria’s processing industry, and construction and tourism sectors.
The project ‘Flexible opportunities for employment and training in the enterprises with variable activity intensity’ is being run by the District Information Centre (DIC) in Kyustendil. It aims to improve the skills of unemployed workers and current employees, after taking employers’ business needs into consideration.
During off-peak working times in the above-mentioned industries, employers can choose from two courses – ‘Training for Employed People’ and ‘Specific Training’, which targets people out of work. Candidates with relevant prior experience in their vocation will be selected for Specific Training. The aim is that employers will hire these participants during more intense working periods. If necessary, foreign language training will also be provided. Employers can apply for courses either independently or in partnership with other employers.
The project is financed by the European Social Fund and is part of the Operational Programme Human Resources Development 2014-2020.
