Ireland is using ESF support to give health-care qualifications and skills to women
In Ireland a local development company, Ballyhoura Development, will be delivering health-care training programmes in the counties of Limerick and Cork this autumn. The aim of the initiative is to build women’s skills and provide them with a recognised qualification in health care – thus improving their employability.
This training is designed to provide practical information and skills for individual women who wish to work in the health-care sector as well as helping meet the needs of the ever-growing care industry in Ireland. Understanding client needs and caring for the elderly will be a key part of the training.
