Andalusia invests in science skills

The ESF is helping R&D technicians and science graduates in Spain to improve their skills

The region of Andalusia in Spain is taking steps, with ESF help, to boost the high-tech skills and qualifications in its workforce. On offer are 50 training grants at the Agricultural and Fisheries Research and Training Institute, intended for one- to three-year long professional internships or R&D training posts for research technicians.

In addition, the Institute is launching a new call for applications for the ‘Incorporating PhDs to the Spanish Science, Technology and Innovation System Program’, for which nine contracts are available for five-year doctoral studies posts in the fields of agriculture and fishing, including periods in research centres abroad.
