A Romanian-Greek project to boost rural entrepreneurship has just finished
The end of June saw the completion of a three-year transnational ESF project covering four Romanian regions. Entitled ‘Entrepreneurship in the rural environment – a chance for employment’, the project brought together three Romanian county employment agencies and two training companies, one from Romania and the other from Greece.
It targeted 1419 people in rural areas with activities to promote reintegration into work for the unemployed, to support new enterprises and foster freelance activities on farms. Information, counselling and training were provided in entrepreneurial and IT skills, and 50 participants were able to see some good practice examples during a fact-finding visit to Greece.
