New advisory centres in Slovakia are offering skill-boosting training programmes to help workers develop their careers
Workers in Slovakia who want to give their careers a boost can now do so thanks to 25 new advisory centres. Open to employed and self-employed people of all qualification levels, the new centres are offering a made-to-measure approach. Qualified advisors assess knowledge, skills and aspirations and then propose a modular training programme that will give the individual the new skills and qualifications he or she needs to get on.
The focus is on 40 professions in fields such as engineering, automotive, industry and agriculture. The 25 centres are part of an ESF co-funded project, ‘Further education and advice for adults as a tool for better employability’, run by the National Institute of Life-Long Education.
