Romanian medical staff get better acquainted with the latest treatment technologies thanks to ESF support
In the fast-advancing field of healthcare, quality not only has to be high, but needs to be constantly improved. With this in mind, the Bucharest-based IHS Medical School partnered with City University London in an ESF project to provide training courses for medical staff in the field of dialysis.
Over the last three years, the ‘European Medical School’ project has given 600 medical professionals – doctors, nurses, statisticians, and technicians – from 72 private practices, the chance to learn more about innovative medical technologies and modern dialysis procedures. Taught by Romanian and foreign specialists (doctors, university professors, medical trainers), these courses have ensured higher-quality dialysis procedures for around 9000 patients.
