The ESF supports discussions on small-scale farming opportunities and practices in southern France
In the town of Montauban in southern France the Association for Rural Development and Employment (ADEAR) held an information day on rural agriculture which brought together 80 participants from the region. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss how to promote forms of sustainable agriculture that create jobs, protect the environment and contribute to economic progress in the region. ADEAR’s objectives include helping small-scale farmers with focused training opportunities, building short routes to market and the exchange of good practice. The event finished with roundtables covering topics such as access to land and infrastructure and working in agricultural groupings.
