The ESF has been funding innovative projects across Latvia. Learn more about the human stories behind these projects that provide access to care services to children, an inventive woodwork business, and a project dedicated to helping hearing-impaired women during and after childbirth.

Giving children access to care services

A project from the Children’s Palliative Care Society aimed to provide access to care-services to children with life-limiting illnesses.

Thanks to support from the ESF the Children’s Palliative Care Society in Latvia were able to widen their reach, as well as target local residents and government organisations to create a common understanding of children’s palliative care.

From Woodworker to Entrepreneur

Children across Latvia are taking up snow biking thanks to a local woodworking entrepreneur. Artūrs has managed to take his idea into an international business and employ more people.
