The ESF in France is promoting better people-management skills among SMEs
Selecting the right people, conducting evaluations and creating effective training schemes – these are just some of the headaches the over-worked managers of small enterprises face and which they must get right if their businesses are to prosper. To help, the Chambers of Commerce and Industry in Paris (CCIP) have produced human resources training courses for SMEs to help them improve their people-management procedures and the skills and productivity of their employees. Using a modular approach – each module addressing a particular facet of HR – the courses involve theoretical training followed by help to implement the new procedures in the company itself. The aim, explains CCIP project manager Angelita Rodriguez, is to offer SMEs a methodology, tools and consulting support which will professionalise their management of human resources. Participating SMEs can receive ESF financial support.
