Romanian school students are getting better prepared for their career choices with visits to future workplaces
Some 400 secondary school students in Harghita county in Romania are getting hands-on experience in local companies to help them better choose their future careers. The County School Inspectorate is using ESF funding to provide them with career guidance and counselling followed by visits to relevant companies. In addition, 60 students will learn about setting up a company and running it day-to-day – with prizes for the best performance. The initiative is a response to student surveys which revealed they had few clear career preferences or aspirations.
