Greece launches programme to support youth entrepreneurship with an emphasis on innovation

In Greece, some 2000 young people who are unemployed but have a good business proposal are each in line for up to €10 000 of funding to get their ideas off the ground. The Youth Entrepreneurship Support Programme has €20 million to allocate and is co-funded by the ESF.

It aims to boost youth employment by supporting innovative business proposals across all industrial sectors for a period of 12 months.

Mentoring is on offer to participants to help boost the sustainability of their new enterprises. The programme covers 11 Greek regions in total.
