Enabling and recognising entrepreneurs in Croatia

An ESF-funded project which promotes entrepreneurship has won an award in Croatia.

The project InCity claimed the award for its work in the city of Buzet. It was one of 33 examples of innovation and best practices in city administration nominated for the award.

InCity enables social dialogue between entrepreneurs and public administrations. The project promotes the inclusion of entrepreneurs when creating plans to encourage entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial infrastructure, and budgets and programmes for young entrepreneurs. It has contributed to unemployment dropping below 2 % in Buzet. The project has created 40 new companies and jobs. A total of EUR 120 000 has been invested from other sources into Buzet due to the activities of the project.
