An ESF co-funded project is helping people to become their own boss, and create even more jobs.
The project ‘Fit4Entrepeneurship’ helps unemployed people set up their own businesses. It targets first-time entrepreneurs and provides them with training and coaching in marketing and accounting for two months.
The first results are encouraging: 37 of the 125 participants have already set up their own business and 24 are in the process of doing so. Around 10 unemployed people were hired in one of these new businesses and 48 participants got a job elsewhere.
‘Fit4Entrepreneurship’ has a budget of EUR 450 000. Half of these funds come from the European Social Fund and the other half come from the Chamber of Commerce and the Ministry of Labour.
