A conference on social entrepreneurship has provided valuable insights in Latvia.
The conference was recently held as part of the project ‘Support to Social Entrepreneurship’ in Riga. It was organised by the Ministry of Welfare.
Participants were invited to listen to social entrepreneurs from Britain, Denmark and the Netherlands talk about their experiences. The participating companies included an environmentally friendly soap manufacturer and a waste recycling initiative.
Discussions were held on current trends and events in Latvia also. Workshops were offered on the development of new ideas, covering topics such as ‘business models’ and ‘product positioning and customer needs’.
The project is financed by the European Social Fund.
