An ESF-funded project offers students with disabilities the opportunity of having their first work experience.
A total of 300 university students with disabilities have obtained one of the traineeships offered by the project ‘Fellowships-Traineeships ONCE Foundation - Crue Spanish Universities’. It aims to improve their job opportunities and their professional careers.
The traineeships last three months and are expandable to up to six months. They may be carried out in large companies, SMEs, micro-enterprises, social business, services sector as well as other public and private institutions and organisations.
ONCE Foundation, Crue Spanish Universities and the European Social Fund partner with these types of businesses, encouraging them to hire people with disabilities. They also partially cover the project’s costs, with a maximum investment of EUR 540 000 (EUR 1 800 per traineeship).
