A restaurant in Brittany is helping immigrant women to integrate better
In the commune of Lorient in Brittany, France, the restaurant 'Terres' has been welcoming immigrant women as employees since 2008. This social enterprise offers work to women from many different countries and also the chance to improve their French language skills, build social networks and prepare for the jobs market. Some 19 have participated so far, spending from six months to two years working in 'Terres' while receiving training in a range of social and work skills. The project is part-financed by the ESF and generates its own income from the restaurant.
