Social enterprises in the Tyrol region are building bridges into the labour market with ESF help
In the Austrian Tyrol region State Councillor Johannes Tratter visited a social enterprise to see for himself how those facing difficulties in getting and holding down jobs can be helped. The ISSBA projects help such people by providing temporary employment in areas such as retail, horticulture and construction.
“These transitional jobs and career support by the project provide a bridge into the regular labour market,” said the Councillor who gave an overview of other social enterprise projects in the region that are run with ESF support and praised their contribution to employment in the Tyrol. In 2013, some 170 people took part in social enterprises and thus gave a boost to their employability, he explained.
