An ESF project in Romania is taking steps towards improving public administration
The authorities in the city of Constanța have launched the ‘Responsible Public Administration = Efficient Public Administration’ project which aims to build a county-level framework for action and communication. Ovidius University and the Emergency Response Inspectorate of Constanta County are helping implement the project. Some 130 executives from the central and local administrations will participate, analysing emergency services and issues around interinstitutional communications. They will also have the opportunity to visit two EU countries with expertise in these areas. As part of the project, an online platform – including video-conferencing facilities – linking 102 public authorities will be created along with a training programme for the participants. The ESF co-funded project aims to create a culture of communication among the public institutions involved.
