A new social enterprise in Malta is helping disabled job-seekers find rewarding work

In Malta, the printing company Marsovin and Offset Printers has become one of the first clients of the Me2 Co-operative – a new social enterprise based in the town of Mtarfa. The co-operative, which is dedicated to bringing people with disabilities into the workforce, is based on the earlier Me2 project, co-funded by the ESF, which offers training and qualifications to disabled job-seekers. The 52-member team has performed more than 90 000 tasks since its establishment earlier this year. Its disabled staff members are commissioned by private companies and other entities to carry out a variety of tasks, such as the packaging services offered to Marsovin and also office back-up and cleaning services, among others.
