An ESF project in Poland is pulling down the barriers for disabled people to access public services online
Poland has just kicked off the ESF project ‘Support for the disabled in free access to information and internet services’ which will run until August 2014.
Its aim is to support public institutions in implementing universal accessibility rules for internet services. This will help remove real barriers that people with disabilities are facing to deal with the authorities online.
The project includes around 180 different services and seeks to raise awareness among employees at some 400 public institutions, including 300 regional job centres. To achieve this it is offering e-learning courses and seminars to the staff concerned.
