Slovenia is giving ESF support to researchers at an early stage of their career to help build a research-led economy
The ESF in Slovenia is supporting young researchers with the aim of improving the links between academia and the economy. Some €6 million is available for raising the quantity and quality of research work and stimulating the contribution of Slovenian companies in the shaping of research activities.
By building these links the authorities want to accelerate the transfer of basic research results into businesses and the economy – thus improving competitiveness. Better mobility of young researchers between universities and companies is another target of the initiative.
