A social integration club in Poland is helping the long-term unemployed with ESF support
In the town of Międzyrzecz in western Poland the local job centre has opened the first regional Social Integration Club. The club is organising training and finding traineeships for those who have been looking for a job for more than 6 months. The long-term unemployed and disabled people are particular target groups for support. Courses cover skills in several areas, such as floral art and bookkeeping. On completion, participants take part in 3-month paid traineeships which can lead to full time jobs. The project is co-financed by the ESF.
