Vouchers to go ‘digital’ in Greece

With ESF co-funding, Greece is offering computer-skills training vouchers to the unemployed

Up to 100 hours of free training in information technology skills is on offer to 20 000 unemployed job-seekers in Greece following the launch of a new EUR 22 million ‘training voucher’ programme by the ESF and the Ministry of Labour. After applying for a voucher, participants can choose the particular courses they wish to follow at Vocational Training Centres where they will receive certified qualifications on completion. Importantly, the courses will cover the particular computer and ICT skills needed to apply for jobs in the public and private sector.
