Andalusia is offering work experience to people with impaired hearing and sign-language classes to potential fellow workers

In Spain, the Andalusian Foundation for Accessibility and Deaf People is repeating its ‘Professional Experiences for Employment’ ESF project which helps deaf people follow internships in different companies to improve their work experience and job prospects. During their internships they are advised and guided by professional technical staff with sign-language skills. At the same time – recognising that communication is a two-way street – the Foundation is launching Spanish sign-language training for unemployed people to improve their job prospects and help ensure that hearing-impaired workers have more colleagues they can confidently communicate with.
