Partners in the project PPS are proudly announcing the FINAL CONFERENCE in PPS project, dealing with active ageing. Partners have developed and piloted a methodology and training programs to help older adults to remain active by supporting other older adults (55+) to deal with ageing. The methodology is based on peer to peer group facilitation as well as learning and peer facilitation mediated over the Internet. All educational programmes, developed in the project, are free to use by wide interested public and could all be accessed at www.activeageingproject.eu/content/outputs.
The conference will take place on the 22nd of June 2016 from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm in the Municipality of Ptuj’s Grand Hall at Mestni trg 1 in Ptuj, Slovenia. The project partners will present the results of their work on the topic of educational programmes for the promotion of active and conscious ageing of seniors. Some of the peer educators that have been active during the pilot sessions in the partner countries will also be given the chance to report from their experiences and exchange them with other peers. Amongst key speakers there will be Mr. Miran Senčar, Mayor of Ptuj, Mojca Volk, general manager of Public University of Ptuj and experts from partner organizations.
