In such uncertain political times, now more than ever, it is critically important that disabled people are centre stage in all discussions relating to their rights as citizens. All policies and strategic mechanisms arising from them, which may affect or potentially impact on disabled people, should at all times be coproduced with disabled people. With this in mind, it is crucial, whilst working in the field of disability and employment that we regularly stop, reflect and review upon our practice.

The workshops of Lyhty ry offer those with learning disabilities diverse working and learning environments where support is always readily available. With the help of the Career key model, new work opportunities are sought from businesses where the small tasks are often left incomplete.

The Finnish Hakunila International Organization is involved in the multicultural Nordplus project, the goal of which is to support the integration of immigrants and increase understanding between immigrants and the original population. The workshops of the project utilise art, music, discussion and reactive co-operation as their tools.
