Links to official WFD web sites in Member states
Below you find links to the official WFD implementation web
sites of the EU Member States. On these sites you can often
access more detailed information on water management in specific
countries than the Commission has the possibility to provide.
Links to the specific Competent Authorities of the different
River Basin Districts can be found in annex 4 of the Commission's
Staff working document (SEC(2007) 362 final of 22.3.2007)
which accompanied the first
implementation report of the Water Framework Directive.
WFD and International River Basin Commissions and Conventions
The International River Basin Commissions have an important
role in coordination of WFD implementation in the EU Member
States. Below you will find links to some of the most active
River Basin Commissions in Europe.
