This map presents the national and international river basin districts as designated by Member States.

Groundwater bodies not at risk (pdf ~1,63MB)
These two maps present the percentages of water bodies not at risk of failing to meet the WFD objectives as a result of the environmental analysis carried out in 2004. This means the percentages of water bodies that currently meet or will meet the objectives by 2015.

Heavily Modified and Artificial water bodies (pdf ~1,61MB)
This map presents the percentages of water bodies that have been provisionally identified as heavily modified or artificial as a result of the environmental analysis carried out in 2004. If this provisional designation is confirmed, the river basin management plan will have to set alternative objectives to these water bodies.

Groundwater Monitoring Stations (pdf ~ 11,5Mb)
These two maps present the WFD monitoring stations in rivers, lakes, transitional waters, coastal waters and in groundwater as reported by Member States (status: March 2009).
