Data
Data on packaging waste generation, recovery and incineration
at waste incineration plants with energy recovery and recycling
have to be provided annually by Member States 18 months after
the end of the reference period (e.g. by 30 June 2005 for
the year 2003). The data for 2003 and the following years
have to be provided in the format of Commission Decision 2005/270/EC.
The 10 Member States who joined the European Union on 1 May
2004 only have to provide data from 2004 onwards (i.e. by
30 June 2006 for the year 2004). The received data can be
found below. Until the data for 2002, the data were provided
under the format of Commission Decision 97/138/EC.
Please note that some of the data sets do not contain data
on wood. This may result in a difference in calculation of
the overall recycling rate of one to a few percent of such
Member States compared to the Member States that have reported
such data. The Czech Republic and Hungary have provided data
for 2002 on a voluntary basis.
