Mikael Karlsson

From 2005: President of the European Environmental Bureau, Europe’s largest environmental organisation:

  • 2005-2010: Expert in the Swedish Environmental Objectives Council
  • From 2003: Member of the Advisory Board, Centre for Risk Management, King’s College
  • From 2002: President (full time), Swedish Society for Nature Conservation

Dr Karlsson holds a PhD in Environmental and Energy Systems. He is agronomist and senior lecturer in environmental sciences. His research focuses on risk governance and environmental policy. Mikael Karlsson has participated in numerous NGOs and governmental committees and bodies on environmental policy. He lives in Stockholm with his family.
