This year’s annual conference hosted by the World Resources Forum Association (WRF) will take place in Davos, Switzerland. The WRF is a global science-based platform for sharing knowledge on the economic, political, social and environmental implications of global resource use. It promotes innovation for resource productivity by forging working relationships among researchers, policymakers, businesses, NGOs and the public.
Invited speakers at this year’s conference are from politics, business and academia and include the European Environment Commissioner, Janez Potočnik. The programme, which will be finalised in September, includes a high-level political debate on global resource governance organised in cooperation with EU Members of Parliament, Gerben-Jan Gerbrandy and Reinhard Bütikofer, and the Dutch Special Envoy Natural Resources, HRH Prince Jaime of Bourbon-Parma.
