The Strategic Implementation Plan Part 1 and Part 2 was formally adopted on the 25 September 2013. For their implementation, the EIP RM needs to ensure partners from the European Union and the entire raw materials value chain are included to carry out actions that will contribute to the purpose and objectives of the EIP.
Antonio Tajani, Vice-President of the European Commission, will provide the welcome address and keynote speech. Sessions will include topics on driving innovation in the field of raw materials and possible raw materials commitments. The conference will also include a poster session where the stakeholders will be able to present their ‘commitment’ or to search partners to their ‘commitment’.
The European Commission will soon be launching an open appeal for commitments by stakeholders in the private, public and non-governmental sectors including academia. It is predicted that this appeal will generate individual raw materials commitments.
Registration closes on the 29 November 2013.
